The signs were always there.

Avid Archie comic reader at 8. Vogue subscriber at 12. High school senior thesis on graffiti art at 17 (I got an A+).

I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, then worked in advertising — living by the motto 'work hard, play hard.' Wanting to get back to my San Francisco Bay Area roots, I left my NYC fantasy of being the next Anna Wintour to find my version of editrix as the Editor of PopSugar Fashion. I crafted the voice of PopSugar's fashion vertical and led a team of whip-smart writers to increase unique visitors by 330%. After four years of professional blogging and interviewing fashion designers and celebrities, I went freelance to expand my writing repertoire.

I'd learned to surf and craved adventure. I shared my experiences writing for local media, in addition to blogging and copywriting for fashion brands. I knew I was on the right path when I was quoted in the Wall Street Journal as the bikini-clad ski bunny the summer after Lake Tahoe's 2010 ski season. I became a well-rounded writer whose beats include beauty, culture, fashion, fitness, food, and travel. I've also helped brands and individuals with brand voice development, turning their histories into compelling stories.

A passionate creative, a wordsmith, and world traveler, I live life to the fullest and draw inspiration along the way. Idea generation and curating experiences come naturally to me and are what I do best. By day, I'm a writer. At night, I'm a reader. I strive to be a communicator more than anything; it's a discipline I'm still working on, and an art worth perfecting.
